Lancaster County School District will be operate on normal schedule Monday, September 30, 2024. ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be open on Monday, September 30, 2024. ALL events and activities will take place as scheduled on Monday, September 30, 2024.

Lancaster County School District will be closed on Friday, September 27, 2024, and we will have an eLearning day. We have been in contact with Emergency Management and the Governor has declared a State of Emergency. Due to threat of wind gusts exceeding the state regulations, busses will not be able to travel the roadways. As a safety precaution, ALL Lancaster County schools, buildings, and facilities will be closed on Friday, September 27, 2024. Lancaster County School District will have an Elearning day. You will receive eLearning information from your student’s school. ALL events and activities are canceled on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Dear Parents,
Discovery School's weekly announcements:
*On Monday, kindergarten and 1st grade students will be treated to a pancake breakfast beginning at 7:30 am.
*On Tuesday, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be treated to a pancake breakfast beginning at 7:30 am.
*Conferences are Tuesday and Thursday. Attending conferences are part of the required volunteer hours. Students must attend the conference with their parents.
*On Wednesday morning, Lighthouse Coffee at The Craving Corner will be in Discovery School's parking lot for faculty and parents to purchase. Students may not purchase items.
* Picture money and pictures are due on Thursday. Parents will be charged for
unreturned pictures.
*If you have signed up to be a school volunteer, please call Discovery School and let Mrs. Jane know. She is the only one who can help speed up the process.
*We are looking for approved volunteers to read with students. Please call the school if you are interested.
* Still time to sign up for the blood drive, which is Oct 1 beginning at 2 pm.
