Thinking Maps, first published in 1988, provide a common visual language for students within and across disicplines. Through a series of eight distinct concept maps, students learn to organize their thoughts and become more productive and creative thinkers. These maps include the following:
Brace Map (Relating Whole to Parts)
Bridge Map (Making Analogies)
Bubble Map (Describing)
Circle Map (Defining)
Double Bubble Map (Comparing and Contrasting)
Flow Map (Sequencing)
Multi-Flow Map (Identifying Causes and Effects)
Tree Map (Classifying)
